This is a miniature monochrome painting. Although just slightly larger than the average postcard, each piece is hand-painted on the same paper, and in the same way the larger paintings are. I made these for a particular occasion, and they were originally not intended for sale.

While the text gets printed in archival black pigment ink, the color on every sheet is meticulously hand-painted with oil paint. Because of this, some works will have minor “imperfections.”
For some paints/pigments, painting an even swatch of color is very challenging, and therefore some studies might have slight nuances in the color field. Others will have little dabs of paint getting outside of the rectangular swatch. I appreciate these variations as part of the process making each work unique.
