Each Monochrome is an exercise in painting a pure shade of color made from a single pigment.

Pigments are dust ground from different materials, such as metal, rock, or bones. Each pigment has distinct properties, and to discover these I decided to remove any variables. The study of color through reducing painting to its absolute minimum has become an art form in itself.
